Savage Field Hockey was founded on a legacy forged at the highest levels of the game. David Austin Savage represented Great Britain and Wales as a goalkeeper from 1961–1981 — competing at the 1972 Munich Olympics and becoming the first Welsh player to earn 100 international caps.
